Went early to the school, arrived around 6.15 am. It was still dark and the guard would not let us in as it was still too early. The teachers there arrive between 7am and 7.25 am. We have to rearrange with the taxi driver again.
Anyway, the PK1 met with us and told us that they have never received any letters stating our arrival and what should we teach there at that school. We gave her Puan Js' number and later found out that the practicum letters were faxed during the school holidays or when they had some renovation going on in the school, which then would mean some papers got misplaced.
Anyway, since the GB was out having a big meeting, we were given a place inside the staff room which was a bit crowded as there were 10 new teachers just posted to the same school. The big desk table meant for one teacher had to be shared by two teachers. And since this school is a mixed or sharing a building with another school, most things are put away into lockers or brought back home. Nothing was left on the desks. Which means that if we have any teaching aids or books or homework's or tests we have to bring it back with us to the hostel.
Talking about going back to the hostel, we had a little experiment after school today. We walked all the way to the LRT station. At first we wanted to try out taking a bus but other teachers told us that it could take hours to wait for a bus. Another suggested walking to a place where we can also take a bus, but she forgot what the number of the bus that needs to be taken. But at the bus stop, there were two other classmates there and we ended up walking together to the LRT station. I changed my shoes to my white slippers and ended up with blisters hahahhaa.
I do agree with another teacher saying that we might as well take the cab and since there are four of us, the rate would be cheaper than taking the bus and lrt. And if we have many things to carry some more, it would be better to take a cab.
We have not received any timetables yet, maybe tomorrow we will. Then the lesson planing and teaching aids making will commence hehhee. For now, I will read up on lesson planning and maybe some CS Maths reading and try not to think too much about Honey.
ps: I messaged him last night asking him to wish me luck for today. No reply.
