So far So good

In relation with my practicum. I went into my class with the cooperating teacher yesterday and taught the second period. I lost track of time again. And found out that most of the pupils could not produce simple sentences complete with the articles and so on. Some just copy the question right back on the answer column and some has trouble differentiating between 'as' and 'has'.

Today went into the Maths class on my own, I didn't know I was supposed to go in with my other cooperating teacher hehehe. It was the last 2 periods so I wanted to make sure that I did not do the same mistake I did yesterday. During the lesson, I unfortunately gave the pupils wrong instructions and I only realized it after they have sat in their groups ahahha to cover up my mistake I asked them to do it again as they took a long time to form the groups (ahahhaha) but in the end the new groups were formed and the activity I had in mind was able to be done. It was just me giving them Mentos sweets to divide among themselves. They were happy to get those sweets.

Then came the part for them to do the work, I called out 3 girls to do the questions on the whiteboard and only 1 could do it though it did take a while. The other 2 have trouble, maybe because they don't know their multiplication well enough or a bit confused about division. It gave me a bit of a headache thinking of how to help them and how to move forward. In the end I have to give them the questions as homework even though my plan was for us to it together and only 3 questions as homework. I have to check those with them tomorrow, but its only a 30 minutes class.

I came back to the hostel, ate my lunch and just felt so sleepy and tired. After reading the newspaper that I bought in school, I took a nap, planning to wake up after a 30 minutes nap but ended up sleeping till 5.30 (urgh wasted such good time but good sleep anyway hehehe). A shower, made coffee and took out some snacks, opened up my laptop, went to FB and read some messages.
