Knock Knock The Samseng is Here

The neighbourhood I live in, its quite the strategic place to live, I mean its near to a place of worship, near to many schools, near the beach, near to the airports (yeah 2 airports), has its own post office, supermarkets (also 2) and only 15 to 20 minutes of driving to the city. Also, the fire station is not that far away and the police station, quite near too. So you would think this neighbourhood would be safe and free of crazy, drug using people and samsengs? I know, there are always bad people around no matter where you live but oh I don't know. I just don't like feeling I have to put more bolts to the door or put electric fence all around my home, or have a pistol by my side just to be safe.

This feeling of 'unsafeness' was made more so this afternoon when a samseng (I think he is) came knocking or banging more like at the door downstairs. He kept on banging and banging and Frodo kept on barking and barking! So I was curious as to who would be banging and banging and looking for whom. I didn't want to go down and ask so I stayed upstairs and kept looking at the gate, coming and going because I didn't want to be seen. But I was seen, and that samseng guy, he yelled at me! "What are you looking at!" well I quickly hid away aha.ha. Didn't go near the windows too. Put the TV on mute. Waited till Frodo quite down and then I went to look at the gate again, he was gone then. Whoa...scary.

The Bl**dy Customer is Always Right

I went to or was sent to a 2 days course on Customer Service and Communication Skills at the Beverly Hotel, yesterday and today. I went with another colleague. There was 15 people in total, mostly from a hotel background. Quite a small group, I thought there would be more people hehe. In a nutshell, it was a well presented course, very informative, of course the information is sometimes more to common courtesy, being polite and helpful to the customer, but there are certain ways to speak with the customer, the tone of voice.

We practised saying in the right tone the phrase 'Good Morning, Fiona speaking, how may I help you?' with the "you" sound ending in a high note. Hmm sounds very familiar I thought, ooo this is how the operators at STAR and Pacific Sutera greet people hehehhe. And I thought they sound funny, I mean its like they force it. Hmm but I'll try to put it into practise too hehehe. You (high note sound :P).

Mostly though I wanted to know how to deal with rude customer. Some of them can be very very rude and if I could have my way in dealing with them, I would just hang up on them. But then, since the speaker kept on saying that the customer is always right, well, I guess its ok for them to be rude (??) because they are always right (??). Sheesh.

*sigh*

I do love the curry lamb we had for lunch today hehehe. And the pastries..chocolate pastries..yum...

Holiday

Thursday and today is a holiday here in Sabah. And then tomorrow, I'm off duty :) so I have 4 days to watch tv, sleep late and wake up late, but then still have to do rebilling. Gah, I dislike it so. And then next Monday and Tuesday, I have to attend something regarding communication and customer service skills. I hope it helps with me dealing with difficult customer and co-workers. I have to attend with another girl from the office. Hope everything goes well. I don't think I'll be driving there, I already asked my Dad if he could drop me off in the morning and pick me up later in the evening. Why won't I be driving? Well because of parking spaces. I don't want to get a ticket for parking illegally, nor do I know the amount to pay for the parking at the hotel. It is from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.

Anyway, I have been reading a lot of blogs lately, reading and looking at all the beautiful pictures hehehe. I really admire these people to be able to write so fluently, and are very creative in creating beautiful spaces and things for their homes and other people. I wish I would be able to do so too. And I wish one strong blogger all the best and thank you for sharing. I wish I could just say it to her in her blog but I guess I'm just too shy.

Its been 5 months now :D. I'm so happy :D.

Hehehe and I found the old J-drama that I always wanted to watch back, its With Love :D. I'm still on episode 2 but its ok hehehe. And I had wanted to watch Die Hard With a Vengance and I did watch it last night. I don't know why but a few days before I kept thinking about this movie where the hero runs all over the place to do riddles and there is a liquid bomb, when the 2 liquid mixes, BOOM! I thought Jackie Chan was the hero hehehe but I was wrong, it was ummm Bruce Willis (the first name that popped into my head was Ben Stiller..gah what is wrong with me hehehehe). Ooooh speaking about movies, I think the new Shutter movie from Hollywood is a bit similar with the Thailand movie also named Shutter. Hmm have to see it to verify hehehe.

I know, I said I would post my tiny corner space office here, but well, soon. Instead here are some cat pictures to look at :), my cats.

Updates!!

Well, its been a while..Just got the internet connection up and running today before noon (something wrong with the phone lines), have to change the phone lines and phone. Yeah, hope they pick a pretty looking phone hahhaha.

Frodo the dog was taken to the vet yesterday and given the flea shot or was it anti-flea shot? And the house was sprayed with umm..stuff that kills off fleas. Cost a lot, RM330.00. Wow. I want my cats to be given anti-flea shots too but Dad said what for? They don't have dog fleas. Hmmm I hope not, since they like to sleep on the bed and my clothes.

Oh dear me, I'm behind in rebilling and faxing out SOA ..again! I dislike this..and next week, only 3 working days (which is fine with me hahaha ;D) but is it enough time to do rebilling and faxing of SOA? And have to call stubborn customers again for February payment. I see more complaints regarding payment coming up, for example, we only just received the invoices today but those invoices are dated February and this month is March. My goodness, what will I do if I hear that complaint again. Grrr.

Oh and its been a week now in my new place, my tiny corner, tiny table (I'll post a picture :P). Yeah I don't mind the smallness of the space and I don't mind going up and down the stairs as its exercise isn't it hehe but what I do mind is this, the couriers some of them are kinda lazy going up to give me the payments. Yup especially this one old guy which as time goes by, I'm beginning to get irritated with his attitude. I'm beginning to see my grandma in him (ewwww). Have to be patient!!

Good news..Finished the book, great story :D. Was able to print out some debit notes to be sent out on Monday. Collection of cash sales is ok, duty collection still needs some work but at least the report is short ahhaha. Bought a belt hahaha. Yeah random silly stuffs.

Hmm I miss Honey. I haven't finished the story about our dates yet. It must be written down :D. I will do that soon.

New Book :D

Yeah I bought a new book today at the secondhand bookstore. I bought a book called The Third Deadly Sin by Lawrence Sanders. Never heard of this writer before but I flipped and read the synopsis at the back, the story is interesting. About murders and this retired officer bent on looking for the killer.

And yes, I did read the ending to find out whether its a good ending or not hehehe. I have to, because if its a bad ending, I would end up disliking the story, and I don't want that :)

I'll start reading later on, after watching CSI Las Vegas hehehe.

Today, I learned a few things, first would be to never talk directly to those people at the Menara. Always email them only, cc boss. Second, always talk to boss regarding duty and what MS is doing regarding the stopping of credit, whether he follows the potential stop list credit or just doing what he likes and stopping any company as he likes.

Found out today that I could move upstairs anytime now, but better this Saturday since I'm off duty anyway. Have to carry all the files and stuff upstairs and organize the table. I'll be moving in with the Sales people. Honestly, I'm not so close to them, not like with the CS. Well, I'm not so close with her too but at least we could talk about almost anything. Soon I'm going to be with the big girls, it would be all work then and be more quiet. Well I am quiet at work, as I am....working :). But then they could have music upstairs :D. But then again, it would be cramped in there, its quite small and the table i'm using at the moment is quite big. Hmmm lots of buts here, I'll just face it and be strong.

Yes SATC the movie coming soon! Aha. Ahahahahaha. Will it be shown here in Malaysia? I doubt it but I hope to be able to find the VCD or DVD. Saw the trailer on E channel last night and have been so happy to hear Charlotte saying she is pregnant (I know its just a story, not real but I was happy nonetheless hearing she is pregnant :) ). Carrie getting married (really?), is Samantha still with Jared and Miranda, how is married life with adorable Steve? :D hehehehe have to be patient waiting for the movie :D

CSI Las Vegas coming on AXN on March 5th...YES! At last, I've been waiting for this, something interesting to watch on TV. Oh please let Sara live, they cannot kill her off! She must live, she and Grissom, and the rest are a real team...LIVE SARA!!

A new office space? Hmm...not really excited about it, but will look at the positives things..look at the bright side yeah? :D Yeah.
